With tough economic times, renters and owners alike have faced significant challenges in securing affordable housing.

The Illinois Housing Development Authority serves as a clearinghouse for Illinois State-related housing programs. Resources include rental assistance, foreclosure avoidance, down-payment assistance and more. Services provided by the City of Chicago can be accessed here or by calling 311.
